Jane Etta York

Jane was born on December 13, 1936, to Lewis and Lola Redding in Grant Oklahoma. Jane married Don York on July 27, 1951. Don and Jane had three children: Jim, Steven, and Brenda.

Jane was a housewife, taking care of her three children and later her grandchildren.

Jane liked to cook; everyone always enjoyed the great meals she prepared. Her family still uses many of her recipes today. She loved genealogy and had lots of pictures. Jane enjoyed being a member of Red Hats and Tops in her earlier years. She made lots of friends wherever she went.

Don and Jane were long-time residents of Choctaw Oklahoma moving there with their family in 1960.

Jane is survived by her three children, Jim York, his wife Robyn, Steven York, his wife Brigot, and Brenda York all of Choctaw OK. Her brother Lester Redding, his wife Elda of Moreno Valley CA. Her Sister Martha Hall of Yukon OK. Her brother Jim Redding, his wife Beverlee of Searcy AR. Jane was survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Lola Redding, her Husband of 62 years, Don York, her brothers Lee Sparks and Roy Redding, her sisters Mary Duncan, Rae Gilmore, Dorothy Perry, and Patsy Redding, and her grandson Zachary Keel.

Jane is in a better place now. She is back with her husband, she is home.

A visitation for Jane will be held Friday, January 12, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A graveside service will occur directly following the funeral service at Sunny Lane Cemetery.

Officiating will be Dr. Dick Temple

Pallbearers will be Bryan York, Chad Cheatham, Jack Cheatham, Alex Cheatham, Joey Cheatham, and Ross White.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Craig Prince, Ethan York, Chris York and Luke White.
