James Jim Yancey Smiley

James Yancey Smiley, born December 25, 1951 to Ernest Ted and Dorothy Mae Yancey Smiley, passed away December 24, 2013 while at home. Jim as most knew him was born in Springfield, MO and lived Aurora, MO before moving to OKC graduating from Putnam City High School in 1970. Jim was preceded in death by both parents and survived by daughter Ashley Smiley Ryan and her husband Patrick, grandsons Gavin and Lincoln, daughter Adrian Smiley, grandsons Cooper and Colt all of Mustang, OK. Jim loved time with his children, grandchildren and his time on the golf course. Jim was also very proud of his time spent with AA, Jim worked very hard controlling his addiction, he was always ready to encourage anyone else struggling, and Jim’s success inspired and encouraged many others through his success. Jim will be missed by all. Funeral services will held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 30, 2013 at Guardian Funeral Homes West Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
