

Funeral services for James Michael (Mike) Rawlings, 79, will be held Saturday, January 6, 1 pm, at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 S Pennsylvania Ave. Mike passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 in Oklahoma City.
He was born in Allen County, KS on July 1, 1944 to James A and Naomi Jean (Hutton) Rawlings, and lived in Kansas and Oklahoma most of his life, also living for a time in Arizona and Texas. He was most proud of his service in the U.S. Navy, and loved telling his Navy stories to whoever would listen, but especially sharing experiences with other veterans. After his time in the service, he worked primarily as an Industrial Mechanic. He also enjoyed fishing whenever he could, and definitely had some fishing stories to tell, both “fishy” and otherwise!
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Kevin D. Rawlings.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Stella, Oklahoma City, and sons Rick and wife Donna of Pratt, Kansas, and Bobby and wife Paige of Hugoton, Kansas; step-daughter, Stephanie Graham of Mooreland, OK; Six siblings, Connie Holt, Steve Rawlings Tommy Rawlings, Wanda Warden and husband Ray, Gary Rawlings and wife Margaret, and Brenda Havenar and husband Chuck, all of the greater Oklahoma City area. Also, grandchildren Billy Rawlings of Pratt, Kansas; Jordan Rawlings Heath and Matthew Rawlings of Denton, Texas; and Savannah Ceniceros, Jessica Rawlings, and Alyssa Rawlings Hendry of Clewiston, Florida, and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 4-6 p.m. at the Advantage Funeral Home, 7720 S Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City, and Burial will be at 3 pm Saturday at Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha.
