James O. Mankin

James Orin Mankin, 84, passed away August 9, 2012. He was born June 27, 1928 in OKC, OK to Bonnie and Thomas Mankin. James worked at Cato Oil & Grease, a subsidiary of Kerr McGee, as a plant manager for 35 years before his retirement. James mostly loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren but also liked to watch things grow, be it a vegetable garden, flowers or children. James enjoyed many road trips with his children and grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Ann, and brother Frank. He is survived by 2 sons, Boyd and wife Carolyn of Choctaw, OK; and Mitchell of OKC, OK; 4 grandchildren, Anthony and wife Moli; Kristi; Craig; and Eric; 2 great-grandchildren, Emma and Ella; brother, Rollie and wife Martha of Harrah, OK; and 1 sister, Betty Simpson of Highland, CA.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 at Arlington Memory Gardens.
