James Edward Fox died peacefully in his sleep on September 26, 2010 after an extended illness. He was born in OKC on April 7, 1956. After graduating from McGuinness High School in 1975, where he excelled in football and tennis, Jim attended the University of Oklahoma. He worked in the oil and gas business for over 25 years for several companies including Western Geophysical and Schlumberger. He volunteered in numerous capacities including the YMCA, Boy Scouts, and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art where he was an Omelette Party Chairman and served on the Committee for over 20 years. Jim was a natural athlete; he loved sailing, skiing, hunting, fly fishing, and salmon fishing, which he shared with his children during summers in Canada. Jim had a passion for cooking and hosted many sushi parties for friends and family as well as pig roasts at Lake Texoma and for the YMCA Sailing Program at Lake Hefner. Among his many hobbies were gardening, traveling, and boat and car restoration. He is survived by his 3 children; Jessica, Kathryn, and Eddie, their mother Virginia; his siblings; Bill, Patrick, Charlie, Mary Margaret, and Mark, their spouses, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, John J. Fox, Jr. and Sue Margaret Fox, and his brothers, John and Tom. The children would like to express their gratitude to Charlie for the loving care of their father over the past several years. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Christ the King Church.
