James "J.D." David Bridges

Mr. Bridges was born January 29, 1933 in Enid, Oklahoma to Charles E. and Frances Anderson Bridges.

He worked at Tinker Air Force Base as an electrician, working on the B-52 bombers. J.D. loved hunting, fishing, and traveling.

He married Joan Winters in October of 1987. They were soon to be celebrating 30 years of marriage.

J.D. was preceded in death by his parents; son, Darrel Bridges; brother, Edward Bridges; uncle and aunt, Ted and Leona Nehring.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Bridges; children, Sharrel McMurphy and husband Mitch, David Bridges and wife Renetta; grandchildren, Sean McMurphy and wife Rhonda, and Dylan McMurphy; great grandchildren, Connor and Aidan McMurphy; as well as other family and friends.

Visitation will be 6pm – 8pm Monday, August 7, 2017 at Guardian Funeral Home – West Chapel.

Services will be 1pm Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Lutheran Church of Our Savior with Rev. Dwayne Schroeder officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
