Helen Hester Ensey, 92 year old resident of Spencer, Oklahoma, passed away July 3, 2018 at her home in Spencer, Oklahoma. Born October 23, 1925 in Blanchard, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Sidney Eldridge Birdwell and Dorsey Evelyn (Freeman) Birdwell. Helen was both a homemaker and very active in her husband’s glass business as she was his “right-hand person” for many years of business together. She loved dancing, horseback riding, and camping at the 4E ranch near Ada, Oklahoma. Helen had a great sense of humor and loved laughing. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband George Ensey, and 1 son, George Russell Ensey as well as several siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Ohnna and her husband Wayne Maxwell of Midwest City, OK; 2 sons, Emerick Bruce and his wife Barbara Ensey of Bryan, TX; and Ron Ensey of Spencer, OK; 8 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Wilma Palmer of Choctaw, OK; and Lois Rose of OKC, OK; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., OKC, OK 73141 with burial following at the Ensey 4E Ranch Cemetery, near Sasakwa, OK at 4:00 p.m. the same day.
