Harold Chastine “Chet” McIntire left this world to be in the comfort of the Lord on April 15, 2011. He was born December 11, 1920, in Stratford, OK. He is survived by his wife and best friend Norma Ruth McIntire; son Larry D. McIntire and wife Debra McIntire; daughter Judy Geiger; daughter Merle Anderson and husband Steve Anderson; grandchildren Dean Doss, Amy Hadley, Ryan and Daniel McIntire, Tim and Aaron Wade and Andrea Tou as well as eleven great grandchildren.
Chet was manager for 37 years for Akers Auto Salvage then worked 10 years for G & R Auto Parts and 4 years for Inland Machine.
He also served his country in the Navy with the Sea Bees Construction Battalion Unit 536 during World War II. In his younger years Chet played softball and was also a good bowler, bowling a perfect score in Oct 1962 at Penn 44 lanes. He also loved OU football and was an avid Sooner Fan.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel with interment in Sunny Lane Cemetery.
