Geraldine "Jerri" Ditto Smith

Geraldine “Jerri” Ditto-Smith, 90, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at her residence on June 27, 2023. Jerri was born in Oklahoma City on May 9, 1933, one of five children born to Raymond Boyd Ditto and Idera “Pearl” Childers-Ditto.

Jerri married Bill J. Smith in 1951 and raised two children, Susan “Susie” Smith-Clark and Todd W. Smith, before Bill suddenly passed away in 1980.

Jerri worked for many years for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as the Director of Shipping and Receiving. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an active resident of Town Village Senior Living in OKC, where she enjoyed spending time with friends playing card games and winning at bingo.

In addition to her husband Bill, Jerri is preceded in death by her brothers Robert Ditto and wife Brenda, R.B. Ditto and his wife Sandra and her sister, Betty Clinton and her husband Harvey.

Jerri leaves behind Susan “Susie” Clark and husband Galen Clark of McLoud, OK, Todd W. Smith and wife Cynthia K. Conway-Smith of Oklahoma City, brother Jimmy Ditto and wife Brenda of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Christopher W. Smith and wife Moriah Smith of Yukon, Megan Smith of Edmond, OK, and Galen Clark Jr., Joey Clark, and Joshua Clark of McLoud, OK and one great grandchild.

A service in honor of Jerri will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2023 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
