Georgia Mae Lynn 79 of Oklahoma City slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 7, 2014. Georgia was born February 22, 1935 at St. Anthony’s Hospital to A.A. “Red” and Ethel Lynn.
Georgia was employed at the state of Oklahoma in the department of Central Service where she worked tirelessly promoting disadvantaged businesses to help better the lives of disabled adults. Because of her work this year the State of Oklahoma established the Georgia Mae Lynn Achievement Award to be given to the best employee who helped fulfill her dreams. Georgia was a graduate of Putnam City High and Oklahoma A&M. Her vibrant personality and love of life will be missed by family and friends.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents A.A. “Red” and Ethel Lynn. She is survived by her brothers, Earl Lynn and wife Theresa of Edmond and Jimmie Lynn and his wife Toni of Guthrie and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends. Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with services on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. both at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
