George Chris Gianos, 66, of OKC, passed away in a tragic car accident July 31, 2010. George was born April 4, 1944, in Levidi, Greece to Chris Gianos and Eugenia (Kouvavas) Gianos. George came to the United States in 1968 and helped manage Fashion Cleaners for 42 years.
George is survived by his wife of 32 years, Anna; daughters Eugenia and husband Greg Britt, Fotini Gianos; brothers John Gianos and wife Margaret, Gus Gianos and wife Margo; sister Vasso and husband George Giannikopoulos; brothers and sisters-in-law in Greece; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins in the U.S., Canada and Greece.
George was a warm-hearted, attentive and devoted family man. A strong Orthodox Christian who was always willing to provide for others.
Though he precedes many of his loved ones into Heaven, his memory and spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him dearly.
Trisagion will be 7:30 p.m., Friday, August 6, at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 7, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church with interment following in Rose Hill Burial Park.
