Frederick Edward Goode, aged 80, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024. Born on December 26, 1943, in Paris, Texas, he was a cherished father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, and a beloved friend to many.
Known for his kindness, strength, and generosity, Fred touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know him. His laughter and warmth were as big as his heart, filling every room with a sense of love and ease. He was a dedicated Mechanist Specialist for the Navy and Air Force, known for his integrity and hard work, and he took great pride in the work on several B-12 aircrafts and the Long Beach International Gateway.
Beyond his professional life, Fred was deeply passionate about fishing, camping, and gaming. He taught those around him the importance of work ethic, and he leaves behind his legacy through his beautiful daughters and amazing grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Mother Mary B Goode, Father William Goode, and Daughter Quan Monica McDougald. He is survived by daughters Kyra McDougald, Alisha (Joseph) Saffold, Tameka (Vonzell) Johnson, Christy (Leonard) Starks, step daughters Jada Jackson and Kisha (Noel) Johnson, sister Myrtle Groves, grandchildren Bernard Turner, Ky’Shawn Gatewood, Joseph Saffold III, Jordan Saffold, Curtiss Fleming Jr, Toni Wade, Te’a Wade, Kenneth Campbell III, Kamaiya Campbell, Chrstyn Starks, niece Jhoyia Soloman, and great grandchildren who will forever hold his memory close. His love and lessons will continue to guide them and all who knew him.
A memorial of Fred’s life will be held in Midwest City Oklahoma, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory.
Fred’s presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love will live on in our hearts.
