Frances Marie Trimble McLeod, born March 3, 1927 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Malcome C. Trimble and Mable Bennett Trimble, passed away October 18, 2022. As a girl, she took lessons in ballet, toe, and tap. She loved to dance, performing at ‘The Bison’ in Shawnee as a teen. She moved to Colorado with her family during WW2 where her mother worked at an ammunitions plant. After returning to Oklahoma, she graduated in 1945 from Central High in Oklahoma City. She retired from First National Bank of Oklahoma City after 25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold McLeod, her parents, three sisters, Sibyl Pope, Marjorie Wynns, and Blanche Trimble, and one brother, Calvis Trimble. She is the last of her generation in the family to survive. Three nephews also preceded her in death, Larry Wynns, Judson Pope, and Richard Pope.
Survivors include five nieces, Margaret Akin of Shawnee, OK, Carol Anglin of Midwest City, OK, Cynthia (and Ron) Males of Tulsa, OK, Linda Farmer of St. Louis, MO, and Deborah Fowler of Sulphur, OK, and two nephews, Bill (and Nancy) Trimble of Edmond, OK, and Jimmy Pope of Guthrie, OK. Frances loved her many, many nieces and nephews: 23 great, 34 great-great, and 65 great-great-great.
She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church before moving her membership to Temple Baptist Church in Shawnee. Many thanks to the nurses and staff at Bellevue Nursing Home. During her last years, they cared for her with tenderness and love.

She will have a Christian service at 3:00 p.m. October 22, 2022 in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
