His three children "Donna", "Carla" and "Jim" are proud of him; and we love him very much.
Forrest Peters, (son of Bruno and Faye Peters), was born on September 26, 1921 in Blanchard, Oklahoma. He was one of four children. "Roy" "Marie" and "Mabel" were his siblings.
As a young adult he loved to sing and act in plays. He was a talented actor; and he had a beautiful voice for singing. His love of music continued throughout his lifetime. Even in his twilight years he continued to sing hymns when we had devotionals. Forrest had an excellent memory and he knew a lot of the hymns by heart.
Forrest was raised on a farm and that contributed to his love for gardening. He was a very talented gardener. For years they enjoyed delicious fresh fruits and vegetables from his garden.
After high school Forrest was drafted into the army. He served 8 years in World War II in the Communications Division.
Forrest was a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher. He and his wife greeted at Bethany Nazarene church for years.
When Forrest was a young man he met the love of his life when the most beautiful woman that he had ever seen "Mary Lou Clagg" showed up at his church. This was the beginning of a lifetime of love and devotion. Forrest and Mary were married for 66 years. In their older years their faces would brighten when their spouse entered the room. Throughout the day they would smile at each other and say "I love you". Mary Lou was the love of Forrest's life with her gentle spirit and beautiful smile. It was always Forrest's desire that he and Mary Lou would die together at the same time; and enter the pearly gates of heaven holding hands. But God had a different plan. Mary Lou began her amazing journey to heaven on October the 8th, 2018. They were united in heaven when Forrest passed away on November the 19th, 2018. The official diagnosis of his death was a heart attack. But we believe that he died of a broken heart. Forrest is united with his sweetheart and best friend. They are surrounded by friends and loved ones; and they will experience God's unconditional love for an eternity.
