Ethel Mae Norris

Ethel Mae Norris was born August 24, 1913 in Powderly, Texas, the daughter of Walter Bruster and Mary Ellen (Foote) Orr. She passed from this life December 16, 2020 in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 107. Ethel grew up in Southeastern Oklahoma and was a graduate of Hugo High School. After graduating high school she moved to Oklahoma City where she pursued her nursing career. She worked as a nurse for many years and also taught nursing classes. She was a member of the Crutcho Baptist Church and later the Britton Baptist Church. Ethel enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and traveling. She was also an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Farrell Norris; daughter, Clara Robertson and son-in-law William Robertson; grandchildren, Lillian White, William Robertson and James Robertson. Ethel is survived by her grandson, Tom Robertson of Oklahoma City and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
