After high school he joined the USAF but was released because of health issues.
He then went on to work for the Logan County Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher, then moved to Cushing and worked with his father in the oil field.
During this time he found his gifting in dog training. As a result, he trained and studied under Butch Cappel at K-9 Pro Sports in Burleson, Texas.
He then went on to train at Oklahoma K-9 Academy in Shawnee, Oklahoma where he became a certified K-9 trainer.
He operated and managed Territorial K-9 Academy in the Cushing area for three years.
It was at this time that he married Desiree Ussrey.
He then moved to Guthrie and worked selling automobiles in Edmond, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his parents Gary D. and Carmen J. Martin, two sisters, Ashlee Michele and Rachel Renee Martin, one grandmother, Lois Giddeon of Stillwater, Oklahoma, three aunts, three uncles, and several cousins.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, November 12, 2012 at Henderson Hills Baptist Church, 1100 E. I-35 Frontage Road, Edmond with a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Euchee Valley Memorial Cemetery, Cushing, Oklahoma.
