Emmett Lynn Brents, 80, died peacefully in his sleep on April 19, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Hinton, Oklahoma, was a police officer for Nichols Hills, retired from The Village Police Department, and served his country during the Korean War. He loved the outdoors and was an avid softball player. Emmett is survived by his wife Loretta, sister Jerri Bloom and husband Bob, daughter Angela Absher and husband James, daughter Sheryl Garner and husband Randy, son Bob Bradshaw and wife Heather, eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter and many good friends. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Frontier Hospice in Emmett’s name.
