Edward Lee Hodges

Edward Lee Hodges gained his Angel wings on April 18, 2022. He was born on November 23, 1944 to Alex Edward Hodges and Peggy Elnora Hodges in Alexandria, Louisiana. Edward served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1965. He moved from New York to Oklahoma City in 1973 with his family where he spent the remainder of his life and worked as a mechanic until his retirement in 2015.

Edward suffered health problems during the last few years of his life and was taken care of by his wife until he was called Home and passed through the Gates of Heaven. He was preceded in death by other family members and one grandchild.

Edward is survived by his wife, Thelma Hodges of the home, three children, Deanna Sherman (Welch) of Oklahoma City, Randy McGuinness of Oklahoma City, and Michael Hodges of Los Angeles, California, as well as his two stepchildren, Angelic and Richard. He was also loved very much by his grandchildren: Joshua, Melissa, Taylor, Timmy, Christopher, and Stephanie, his great grandchildren, as well as many friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Legion to help other military veterans and their families.
