Earl loved to study and learn. He placed a great value on education and always encouraged young people to further their studies. Earl gave himself fully to 45 years with Westinghouse Electric Corporation and Southwest Electric Company. His customers became his personal friends with whom he devoted his time and talents in hunting, fishing, golfing, river rafting, and social gatherings. His wisdom and guidance were sought by many. After retirement, he continued to enjoy fishing, traveling, cooking, gardening, and serving the Lord through his church.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Golda Tinsley. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughters: Susan Carroll and Cindy Dittman of Janesville, WI, and Kathy Carroll of Washington, OK; stepdaughter, Genia James of Oklahoma City; stepson, Warren Orr of Santa Fe, NM; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Burgess; and many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Monday, from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
