Douglas William Miller passed from this life on September 22, 2022 and is reunited with his loved ones who went on before him. Douglas was an orphan born in Kaiserslautern, Germany on November 23, 1952. At a very early age, Dearrel and Hazel Miller adopted Douglas and he joined a brother Barney.
The family moved back to the U.S. and lived in San Francisco where Douglas, at the age of 4, became a U.S. citizen. He attended elementary school before the family moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to family. Douglas attended Western Oaks Junior High then graduated from Putnam City West High School. Douglas received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Oklahoma City University.
Douglas was always active and very athletic. He loved golf and was quite good at it as well as softball and bowling. He had a great sense of humor and always made those around him laugh. Douglas was a big OU fan and now can watch the games from the best seat in the house.
Douglas had a longtime career in the oil field industry working most recently with Tripoint Energy and National Oil Well.
Douglas is preceded in death by his parents Dearrel Bernard Miller and Hazel Marie (Best) Miller, brother Barney Miller and former wife Gayla Weedon.
He is survived by his daughter Doni Albright and two grandchildren Avery Albright and Elijah “Eli” Albright.
Visitation and viewing will be at the funeral home 5 pm to 7 pm, Thursday, September 29, 2022. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2022 at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
