Doris June Wood

Doris June Wood, went to join the love of her life Raymond, on April 29, 2018. Doris was born on July 14, 1930 in Newalla, OK to Jim and Maggie Musgrove. Doris loved being outside whether it was trout fishing in the Illinois River, gardening, or finding a bargain at a garage sale. She had a close knit group of friends who would always get together on the weekends, playing cards, dancing, or traveling. Family was important to Doris. She enjoyed working as a secretary at Choctaw Public Schools where many of her grandchildren attended. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond C. Wood; her daughter, Dora Jean Draper, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and 2nd husband, Carl D. Winter. Survivors include her children, Raylene Lee and husband Roy, Melvin E. Wood and wife Sherri, and Raymond C. Wood Jr. and wife Tracy; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends who will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw, Oklahoma.
