Donna was born on January 23, 1950, the only child of Evelyn and LJ Burt in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Donna graduated from Ponca City High School in 1968 and went on to get her bachelors from Oklahoma State University. After graduating with a business degree in court reporting, she began her first job working in “big” downtown Oklahoma City at Fagen, Hewett, Matthews and Fagen. Donna and Gary met while at OSU together and got married on October 6, 1974.
Donna was predeceased by her parents Evelyn and LJ Burt and survived by her husband Gary, daughter Eve, son Burt and his girlfriend Sarah.
Donna was a woman after God’s own heart and the mightiest prayer warrior who had the best listening skills. She loved being a mom, wife and daughter. She was a proud supporter of Focus on the Family, Family Research Council and locally, Focus on Home. Over 30 years, she continued developing her lifelong compassion for others through Stephen Ministries and Bible Study Fellowship. Donna loved traveling with family and friends. She was the most wonderful tour director organizing sight-seeing and shopping adventures everywhere! Her contagious laughter and smile was always guaranteed to brighten up a room.
