Donna Lee Lamb passed away at her home on 6-26-2015. She was born to Grig William (Bill) and Gladys Ray Dobbs in Seminole, OK, on 11-6-1930. She was a graduate of Bowlegs High School and was a Majorette and a Home Economics Major at OSU. Donna attended OSU at the same time as her 3 older brothers. Can you imagine? She married Robert L. Byrd in 1951 who preceded her in death. The Byrd’s moved to Tesuque, NM and then Donna and children Rob and Teresa moved back to Oklahoma City. From 1959 to 1992 she worked for the OK County DA’s Office, Sheriff’s Office and Children’s Court. In 1970 she married our awesome Step-Dad Larkin Lamb. Larkin and Donna enjoyed Lake Eufaula, traveling, gardening, going to Sheriff and Peace Officers Conventions, and most of all their grandchildren. They lived in MWC and near Lake Eufaula until his death in 1992. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Roy (Dean); Lloyd (Joette); Ray/Mann (Ruby); and Tom (Karen); brother-in-law, Tom Manor. Donna is survived by her son Robert L. Byrd, II of Atlanta, GA; daughter Teresa L. Mitchell and son-in-law Phillip Mitchell of Midwest City, OK; grandchildren, Bryan (Kathy) Mitchell; Daniel (Monique) Mitchell; Matthew (Beth) Mitchell; and Shea (Abby) Byrd; 9 great-grandchildren, Andrew; Tyler; Evalynn; Carter; Kennedy; Alexander; Chana; Leland; and Madison; sister-in-law, Jean Manor; and a number of nieces and nephews. Donna was truly a member of America’s Greatest Generation. She will be remembered for her love, her honesty, and respectfulness for others. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with burial to follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, OK.
