Donald Ray Carey, 77, of Choctaw passed from this life to his heavenly home on March 9, 2022 after struggling with Alzheimer's. Don was born on August 1, 1944 to Melvin and Dorothy Carey in Enid, Oklahoma. He was the oldest of 6 children.
He retired from the City of Midwest City after working for over 30 years. He married the love of his life Sandra Mason in 1975 and he lost her in 2006. He was an avid OU fan and loved working in his tool shed and recycling cans. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend to many.
He attended St. Matthews Church in Midwest City and later joined Mosaic United Methodist Church with his mom and brother for the last few years.
Don is survived by his Mother, Dorothy Carey of Midwest City; brother, John Carey and wife Ernie of Midwest City; brother, Larry Carey and wife Sheryl of Choctaw; brother Steven Carey of Midwest City; sister, Pam Neidhardt of Midwest City; sister, Jeanie Hill and husband Gavin of Yukon; son, David and wife Brenda; grandsons, William and Samuel of Harrah; and step-son Mark Mason of Moore.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sandra of 31 years, his father Melvin Carey, and his step-son Mike Mason.
It was Don's wish that all attending his funeral wear jeans and OU shirts to celebrate his life.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2022 at Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 300 N. Air Depot Blvd., Midwest City, OK 73110 with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, OK 73141.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, OK.
