Donnie Ray Avant departed this life March 23, 2011 at 10:05 pm after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease, he was a retired plumber. Donnie was 76 years old. He is survived by his wife Rosie Avant of 54 years; children: Mark, Viola and Ayla Avant; Marci, Patrick, Ashley, Amy and Alisha Courtney; Micky, Becky and Mason Avant; and one brother James Wirt Avant. Services will be held at First Baptist Church Piedmont, OK. Monday, March 28 at 10:00 am. Visitation is at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 NW Expressway; Saturday 10:00 am - 8:00 pm and Sunday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
