Deanna was born on June 4, 1937, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Carl W. and Lorraine K. Thomas and died peacefully on September 18, 2020, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Always a “Daddy’s Girl”, Deanna was an adventurous youth fearlessly flying with her father over the Oklahoma countryside. Deanna graduated from Stillwater High School in 1955 and attended Oklahoma A & M College (OSU) where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. After college, she worked as a secretary for an oil company in Tulsa where she met her future husband, Donald R. Dillingham, an auditor for the oil company. They were married in 1961 and then welcomed a son Don in 1962 and then a daughter Debbie in 1963. Through the years, Deanna worked as a bookkeeper for Heenan’s Home Furnishings and then as an executive secretary for Ed Fretwell. She retired in 1994 to help care for her grandchildren. One of her true joys was volunteering at the Mercy Hospital gift shop where she had an eye for the “gift shop bargains” and Vera Bradley purses. She also enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren as well as being the Treasurer for Medera Park Homeowners Association for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother Jay. She is survived by her son Don and his wife Paula and daughter Jewel, and daughter Debbie and her husband Mark Litton and their children: Ashley and her husband Andy Garvey, Zach Litton, and Katy and her husband Ryan Miller. The Funeral Mass will be Friday, September 25, 2020, at 11:00am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Oklahoma City with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family wishes to thank her care team at Complete Hospice for the love and compassion they showed during her last few weeks of life as well as all her friends at Town Village for their friendship over the last several years. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, 8005 Dorset Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73120.
