David Wayne Vermillion, 63, of New Hampshire and Oklahoma, passed away on November 16, 2016, after a brief illness. David was born on June 26, 1953 in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Lessie (Wren) and Charles Vermillion. David grew up in Oklahoma and attended Cordell public schools. Mr. Vermillion had an incredible work ethic, as well as many abilities and talents. David’s work history included working as a wastewater treatment technician in Oklahoma and then in the field of maintenance working at NH colleges and high schools. David was an easy-going, fun-loving person with a beautiful smile. David’s first love was his family. David also loved sharing stories of his youth and life lessons he had learned along the way. David loved to tell jokes and had a contagious giggle in his laugh. He loved his wife Julie, and family very much. David enjoyed a life time passion of hunting, fishing and being out in nature. His hobbies included shooting, looking for unique knives, hunting memorabilia and metal detecting. David was an avid OU Sooners football fan. After moving to New Hampshire with his wife, Julie, snowmobiling and snow plowing became a new outdoor activity along with cheering for the NE Patriots. He and Julie shared a talent for collecting unique items visiting flea markets and looking for those special "finds”. David enjoyed helping others, reading, puzzles, holding Julie’s hand, whale watching, and sitting on his porch. David was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Sabrena. He is survived by his wife, Julie, of Alexandria, New Hampshire; children Sandra, Megan, Christopher and Mark, and their spouses; five brothers: Joe, Jack, Rick, Dennis, Michael and their spouses; one sister, Almeta and her spouse; four grandchildren; Mercedeze, Braydan, Kennedy and Paxton; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Cordell, OK. Interment will immediately follow in Union Hatchett Cemetery in Bessie, OK. Services are under the direction of Memorial Park Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, OK.
