David was born in Oklahoma City, OK on Sep. 17, 1948, and passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on Feb. 4, 2018 after a brave battle with cancer. He was the only child of and preceded in death by Jimmie and Dorothy Springer. He is survived by his wife Betty Springer of the home, son David Ryan Springer of Champaign, IL, 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. David served as Artillery Specialist in the 2nd Battalion, 17th Artillery of the United States Army Republic of Vietnam from 1969-1971. Funeral service will be held at Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel Thursday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. in Oklahoma City, OK.
