David Johns Bryson

David Bryson was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, the fifth child of Ret. Maj. Eddie Bryson and Mary Florence Johns on April 5, 1954. He died of lung cancer on May 12, 2013. He is survived by his son Mark E. Bryson, III and wife Tory, of Yukon and sisters Donna Bryson of Moore and Diane Suman and husband Pat of Durant, as well as a sister-in-law, Suzanne Bryson of Oklahoma City. He is preceded in death by his brother Mark and sister Mary Rita. He is also survived by two nieces, Ellen Suman and Mary Cameron Kiger, and two nephews, Michael Suman and Matthew Bryson. His interests included coin collecting, reading the New York Times, and an occasional trip to the casino. He was a member of St. Francis Church and was active in the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He regretted not being able to travel to Africa and the Holy Land before his death. Mass of Christian Burial will be June 4th at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10:00 AM. Offerings can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society there or the American Cancer Society.
