Darrell Roberts

Darrell Roberts, age 70 of Newalla, OK, passed away June 5, 2012 in Midwest City, OK. He was born March 13, 1942 in Lawton, OK to Robert Lee and Laura Cora (Wallace) Roberts. Darrell was a member of the JC’s, Choctaw Kiwanis Club, Choctaw City Counsel, and Choctaw / Nicoma Park School Board. He enjoyed coaching baseball and basketball and he loved all his animals. Preceded him in death are his parent; his sister, Juanelle Roberts; nephews: Hunter Buck and Richard Beardslee. Survivors include his sons: Kyle and wife Shan Roberts and Ricky and wife Annette Roberts; grandchildren: Aspen Roberts and Alec Roberts; sisters: Patricia and husband Jack Beardslee, Garnetta and husband Darrel Smith and Wynona and husband Allen Vaught; brother Charles Roberts; and numerous nieces, nephews and a particular companion and friend, Joyce Wooliver. We would be remiss not to mention his feline companion, Cowboy. Funeral services will be held at Choctaw United Methodist Church, Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10:00am with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Choctaw, OK.
