Daniel (Dan) William Keller, age 54, passed away from an extended illness on August 25, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Floyd Keller, M.D., and is survived by his mother, Marilyn F. Keller, sister Kathy Caldwell, two brothers Mike and Jim Keller, nieces Lisa and Julie Caldwell, Katelyn Keller, and Jamie Keller, nephew, Ryan Keller, aunt, Kathryn Keller Powell, and many cousins.
Dan was born June 21, 1960. He graduated with honors from Casady High School in 1979, earned his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. Dan enjoyed great success and fulfillment as an estate planning attorney, having founded Keller & Associates, P.C. nearly twenty years ago. Although he had a passion for the law, Dan derived his greatest satisfaction from serving his clients and their families and assisting them with often very difficult life decisions. Dan was an active member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, as well as several affiliated legal organizations and took great pride in being a member of the legal community in Oklahoma.
Dan loved the Oklahoma State Cowboys, and was an avid fan of motor sports. He traveled to Indianapolis with his father and friends to attend several Indy 500's as well as the Inaugural Brickyard 500, and raced go karts himself as a young man. As a true dog lover, Dan introduced the Keller Family to Siberian Huskies years ago with “Czar” being the first of many beloved huskies to grace the family home. Above all, Dan was devoted to his family and friends, 2 stepchildren all of whom will miss him greatly.
Memorial Services will be held at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and the National Spinal Cord Injury Association.
