He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Andrew Holder; son, Damon Drew Holder, Jr.; and good friends, Brian Eaton and Shawn Whitworth.

He is survived by his wife, Melina Kernan Nelson; sister, Cheri Holder McNeill; brothers: Jerry Bruce Holder, Clarence Scott Holder, and Stephen Quinn Holder; daughters: Melissa Kaye Nelson, Kashmir Kay Holder, and Rachel Elizabeth Holder; grandchildren, Christina Michelle Stratton and Sara Elizabeth Nichols; nephews, Patrick Ryan McNeill and Trevor Cole McNeill; nieces: Hannah Abigail McNeill, Hayden Quinn Holder, and Reagan Reann Holder; Crystal Diann Fulton-Wood, mother of Damon Jr. and Kashmir Holder; and grandkitten Jubee.

To sum up the impact Drew’s life had on those who loved him in just a few words is impossible. He will best remembered for his amazing sense of humor and caring heart. Those that were close to him knew he had a love of music that through the years translated into playing, listening and also amazingly intricate air guitar and drum performances that will not be forgotten. He was also a talented chef and was always eager to teach anyone his secrets. His contagious smile and laughter could grab you in only a few moments of contact and will be missed.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, November 14, at Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel located at 13400 N. Kelley Ave. Oklahoma City, OK.
