Daisy met the love of her life George Rose and on June 8, 1956, they were married. Daisy and George went on and start their family and had three children together, Betty, Tim, and Gay. She enjoyed being a homemaker for her husband and children and decorating cakes in her spare time for special occasions. She loved to spend the day shopping, eating out and occasionally visiting the casino. Daisy also spent a large amount of her time babysitting her precious grandchildren and listening to country music. She loved her family more than anything and family gatherings were her favorite.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ovelton Keith Nettles; mother, Francis (Cooper) Nettles and sisters, Barbara Carr, Jackie Killgo of Killeen, Texas, Ila Killgo of Houston, Texas, Paulette Dodd of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Pat Jupin of Kennard, Texas and Lynn Alfred of Kennard, Texas.
Daisy is survived by her loving husband, George Rose; her daughters, Betty Shelton of Yukon, Oklahoma; Gay Sanders and husband, John of Seminole, Oklahoma; son, Tim Rose and wife, Jennifer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Vivian Schwin of Kennard, Texas. Daisy also leaves behind eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will deeply miss her.
A visitation for Daisy will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home located at 8701 N.W. Expressway in Oklahoma City. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, July 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
