Curtis Cleo Grant passed away early Monday after a mercifully brief bout with cancer. Curtis was born 8-11-1924 in Snyder, TX. He left behind his bride of 66 years Wanza Nell Grant, his son Ronald Grant and wife Vicky, his daughter Sandra Chamberlain and husband Jim, his brother Harley, his sister Vona “Bow” Lawson. He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter Carmen Hubbard. Carmen’s husband Richard “Dicky” has remained a close part of the family. Grandchildren include, Michael and Eric Hubbard, Natasha Bassett, Melissa Carter, Samantha Chamberlain and Heather McConnell. Curtis and Wanza also have 8 great grandchildren. Curtis served in the US Navy during WWII onboard aircraft carrier USS Wasp. Curtis saw action in major engagements in the South Pacific. After the war Curtis worked in the oil industry until his retirement, first with Lion Oil and then with Monsanto. It was while with Monsanto that Curtis and Wanza moved to Okla. City in 1967. Active in their church, Curtis has amassed many friends and will be sorely missed. Memorial Service will be Saturday Dec. 17th 10:30 am at Forest Hill Christian Church 2121 N. MacArthur Blvd. Okc, OK.
