Curtis Lee Crist

Curtis Lee Crist, age 60, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Curtis was born July 6, 1961 to Margaret Crist and Donald Eugene Crist. Curtis married Jan on December 4, 1998. Curtis is survived by his wife, Jan Marie Crist; his step-daughter Lindsey Melott (Brandon) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his step son Cody Hill (Amanda) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his mother Margaret Crist of Moore, Oklahoma; his sister Cheryl Causey (Keith) of Yukon, Oklahoma and his sister Carol Pouder (Mitch) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his grandson Abner Melott.

Curtis also leaves behind many nieces and nephews: Brad Causey and wife Christan, Cavin Causey, Paxton Causey, Havyn Causey, Esther Causey, Matthew Pouder, Lindsay Schmidtand husband Bryce.

In addition, his beloved dog, Gizmo.

Curtis was preceded in death by his father Donald Eugene Crist; his brother-in-law Rick Waters.

Curtis graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1979. He enjoyed going to stock car races and working on pit crews since he was a young boy which he developed a love for working on cars. Curtis and Jan were OU season ticket holders, loved going to the football games and enjoyed tailgating with friends on their OU bus. He enjoyed watching sports with his dogs Maddie and Gizmo.

Curtis will be remembered for the joy he brought to our lives, his witty humor, quirky personality, loyalty, beautiful brown eyes, and his sweet infectious smile. He will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know him.

A celebration of life for Curtis will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service-South Chapel, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159.
