Constance Lillian (Brazarian) Bonadio passed from this life on April 6, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Services have been entrusted to the care of Memorial Park Funeral Home and a celebration of her life will take place Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 2:00 pm. The service will take place at the funeral home chapel at 13313 N. Kelley Ave in OKC with entombment taking place following the service across the street at the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
Constance Lillian Bazarian was born on April 21, 1933 in Danbury, CT to Harry and Lillian (Coburn) Bazarian. She was the 2nd of four children born to immigrant parents. She was raised and graduated from high school in Danbury, the first in her family to do so. Constance was introduced to William Bonadio by her older sister. In 1955, they were married and 4 wonderful children were born to this union. Constance spent years working with William at several restaurants they owned in the Danbury area.
In 1970, the Bonadio family relocated to OKC to be near other family members. Constance spent much of her professional career in retail sales, spending several years at JC Penny before her eventual retirement in her late 70’s. Constance understood the value of hard work and she dedicated much of her life to ensuring the success of her family’s many restaurants in the OKC area: Bonadio’s Italian Kitchen, Dio’s Original Fried Pizza, and Papa Dio’s Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar. She could often be found in the kitchen cooking, seating guests in the front of the house, or serving food to the many customers who had become her good friends.
Constance and William Bonadio spent over four decades together before his passing in 1997. In 2010, she married Everett Schierenbeck, a Vietnam War hero who shared her love for dancing. Everett took great care of Constance during their wonderful 7 years of marriage. Everett passed away in 2017. Constance was a strong-willed woman who had a sarcastic and witty sense of humor. She never shied away from sharing what was on her mind, but she did so in a respectful and ornery way. She was an independent woman who managed to work until she was nearly 90 and lived on her own until she was in her late 80’s. She enjoyed watching documentaries and science shows, playing dominos, and was a longtime member of All Souls Episcopal Church. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Constance left an unmistakable mark on the lives of so many and she will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Lillian Bazarian, husband William Bonadio, 2nd husband Everett Schierenbeck, grandson Michael William Bonadio, and three siblings: Joann Welch, Mildred Tilford, and Charles Bazarian. She is survived by her four children: William F. Bonadio Jr, Thomas G. Bonadio, Candace Gideo and husband Blaine, and Stacy M. Deason and husband Cary. Eight grandchildren: Lauren Ford and husband Mike, Anthony Bonadio, Conner Gideo, Jake Gideo, Cearra Deason, Brenna Deason, Kayla Deason, and Taylor Deason.
