Clarence was born in Okadoma, Arkansas on June 18, 1915. He began working at the age of 10 to support his family. He was a father, husband, carpenter, builder, pilot, mechanic, rancher, Shriner in the Cadillac convertible patrol, water ski instructor, swimmer, and probably known best for being a top car salesman. He received many awards, a special one from Iacocca. His greatest accomplishment was being called to build a small church the first year he retired. At the age of 94 he was still swimming. At the age 93 he still mowed his 2 acres and changed his own car oil and did his own car maintenance. Clarence also built his home in Paul’s Valley along with his wife Patty. They built all the fencing around the Paul’s Valley farm together as well as raised cattle and cut and bailed their own hay. He was a motor home enthusiast and traveled every state in the union as well as traveling overseas. He loved his dogs Cocoa, Hogue and Duke. He had four University foundations that sent many young people to College. He received three visions of heaven calling him home and after seeing heaven he could not wait to go. He went to sleep to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday morning, April 4, 2010. He was surrounded by his wife Patty, his baby girl daughter Deborah Burr and his step daughter, Elizabeth. I would like to thank Cheryl Maze, Brien Johnson, Mike Thaggart and Carol Gomez for their love and support. God will be merciful unto his land and to his people. Deut. 32:43
