Charles A. “Pat” Pattison was born September 4, 1935 in Balko, Oklahoma to Henry E. and Rosetta May Otey Pattison. He died December 7, 2011 in Oklahoma City. After graduating high school in Perryton, TX, he earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Early in his career he worked for Otis Elevator and Package Engineering in Oklahoma City. He spent the remainder of his engineering career at Tinker AFB where he began as a journeyman and retired as a branch manager in 1999. In May of 1963 he married Georgia Lou Bogan, his devoted wife of more than 48 years. Not one to be idle, Pat raised cattle on his farm in Newalla for more than 30 years and, together with Georgia, designed and built their home in Newalla where they reared their two children. He loved to engineer then construct tools and gadgets ranging from fish habitats to farm sprayers to snake catchers. Over the years, no roll of duct tape was safe, and all objects were subject to being labeled. In addition to rebuilding a 1940’s Willys Jeep, Pat refurbished two classic 60’s Ford Mustangs. In retirement he traveled, fished and enjoyed his lake house. Above all, his greatest satisfaction came from spending time with and caring for his family, and helping other people. He is survived by wife Georgia, daughter Dana Garcia and her husband Rudy, son Derek and his wife Leah. Pat is also survived by four grandchildren, Israel Pattison, Drew Pattison, Bogan Garcia and Lachlan Garcia; sister LaJanta Nelson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Pat touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with Jimmy Nelson officiating. Services will be under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.
