Charles H. McClure III went to heaven on Feb 28, 2014. He was born May 22, 1922 in Youngstown, Ohio to Annie D. and Charles H. McClure Jr. Charles is preceded in death by his parents and one brother James L. McClure and sisters Sarah Davis and Mary Foster. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Viola Frances McClure and Camilla Mendenhall and her husband Steve, Charles H. McClure IV and his wife Monica, Susan Thanscheidt and husband Garry, and Stephen McClure and wife Donna, Eleven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren with two on the way and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a WWII Vet with 30 years of Military Service. Served in the South Pacific with the US Marines and received a purple heart on Siapan.He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th at 2 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
