Charles "Chuck" Mitchell McLain

Charles Mitchell McLain, beloved father, son, brother, uncle and good friend to many, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on February 7, 2018, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Chuck was full of life and never met a stranger along his way. He was an avid sports enthusiast and a lover of life. Chuck graduated from Casady School and Vanderbilt University with a degree in Business, then quickly began his career in real estate and played a significant role in the development of Bricktown, a thriving urban entertainment district. He expanded his portfolio into many ventures while growing a family. He lived by the motto “Work hard, play hard!” but family always came first. He was a loyal friend with a charming, comedic personality that lit up the room. He had a keen sense of humor along with a laugh that was infectious. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Terry (R.T.) and Janet McLain and is survived by his children, Jennifer Lee McLain, William Robert McLain, Mark Andrew McLain, Taylor Ann McLain and his siblings Tom (Janet), Rich (Karen), Mike, Scott (Janet) and many more family members and friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Services to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boys & Girls Club, Mercy Health Foundation or a charity of your choice.
