On August 15, 2024 Charleen Margaret Thompson took her final breath in her wonderful life. On December 3, 1949, Charleen was born in Lockport, New York to loving parents Charles Burton and Joleen Ann (Conlin) Kenyon. She lived in Lockport until 1967, when she moved to Oklahoma. In Oklahoma, she attended the University of Oklahoma’s School of Nursing, and received her Masters in Nursing.
Charleen’s love was shown through many things she held dear, such as her family, painting with watercolors, and was major OU fan. The hard work she put in during her life would culminate in her work as a Registered Nurse for over thirty years at what is now, OU Health Medical Center. She was also an instructor of nursing at the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City Community College.
Charleen is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Burton and Joleen Ann (Conlin) Kenyon.
She is survived by her children Christine Thompson of Moore, Oklahoma; Cathleen (Catie) Thompson and fiance Jeremy Wilson of Tuttle, Oklahoma, her siblings Charles (Chuck) Kenyon, Michael Kenyon, Sharon Farrugia, four nieces and six nephews.
A graveside service for Charleen will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73162, Friday, August 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
