Chad Ray Keithley, 37, of OKC passed from this life on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Services have been entrusted to the care of Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service and a service celebrating Chad’s life will be held at a later date.
Chad was born on July 19, 1979 in OKC to Curtis Keithley and Bonita (Bellah) Keithley. He graduated from US Grant High School in 1997 with a 4.0 GPA. He spent the next few years acting as a caregiver for his grandpa and great grandma, who he cared for and loved deeply. In 2013 Chad went to work for his family business Henry’s Enterprises as a trim carpenter. Chad was very good at his job and was promoted to a job supervisor position. He was in charge of many different residential and commercial remodel jobs and he was very proud of his work remodeling Club 115 in Bricktown.
When Chad was not working he enjoyed playing with and caring for his nieces and nephews, as well as working on computers, as well as taking electronics apart and putting them back together with his sister Lisa. He was an avid fan of OU football and playing chess and checkers. Described by many as a gentle giant, Chad possessed a quiet strength and a giving spirit, which led to him always putting the needs of others before his own. He packed more good times and great memories into his 37 yrs of life than some people fit into 100 years and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his parents Bonita and Henry Placker and Curtis and Rose Keithley. Six siblings: Lisa Simmons and husband Gerald, Henry Placker Jr.,Kenneth Placker, Tony Placker, Randy Hall and Nick Keithley; Seven nieces and nephews: Shawn Frizzell Jr., Sara Frizzell, Chris Slaughter, Meleah Bussy, Jerald Placker, Teegan Placker, and Regan Placker.
