Ms. Carolyn was our chaperone for 15  Northwest Classen students to study German during the summer of 1968 at  Mayerhofen,Austria, with along with Dorit Hall, the German teacher at NWC.  Ms. Carolyn was a real trooper and always enthusiastic!!  She was continually upbeat and wonderful!  Blessings to her family...she is enjoying her reward!  Mary Daiker Baldridge

Mrs. Wakely had a *profound* effect on my life when I was at Northwest Classen High School. I was a high percentile tester, but couldn't care less about half the classes in high school and only went about half the time my last year. Yet, it was Mrs. Wakely who recognized that I consumed books about writing, philosophy, politics, psychology, and more at the rate of several a week. If it wasn't for Carolyn, I would have never made it out of high school despite my love for knowledge. Everything I did after Northwest, I have told many a person, was due to the love, concern, compassion, and professionalism of Carolyn Wakely. It's not too much to say I owe her my life. Godspeed, Mrs. Wakely. Thank you for having one of the biggest hearts I ever knew. I was so happy to keep in touch several times and always with tons of appreciation to a wonderful person.

She was my High School counselor and if it wasn't for her I never would of graduated and gone on to college. God bless her and her family,I'm just glad I got to thank her before she passed. God Speed!

Such a kind gentle person. I'm really glad I got to see you fairly recently at the Linwood Home Tour.  I will always remember you fondly.
