Carole Sue Sutton Carlin Muller of Oklahoma City was born September 24, 1940 and passed away on January 1, 2021. She was the daughter of Charles W. and Polly R. Sutton. Growing up in OKC, she graduated from NW Classen and then headed off to Randolph-Macon College before graduating from the University of Oklahoma.
She was a proud member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority, the Junior League of Oklahoma City and Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed being a Stephen Minister.
Carole Sue had a varied career path as a mother, teacher, oil & gas mineral manager, paralegal and social worker. Retirement kept her busy as she indulged her vices of reading, genealogy research and playing bridge and mahjong with her friends. She was also quite a creative person who enjoyed needlepoint, painting, quilting, writing poetry and playing piano.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nancy Graham and her husband Roland A. Muller.
She is survived by her son Rick Carlin and his wife Debbie and his children Trisha and Trey, her son Scott Carlin and his wife Susan and their children Kelsey, Courtney and Chase, son Mark Carlin and his wife Holly and their children McKenzie and Bryce, her step-children Mike and Sam Muller, Micki and Terry Glover and Maggie and Dennis Wilson. She had 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Carole Sue will be missed by all who loved her and they should take comfort knowing she is at peace after a long life of working and caring for others.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday September 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Library, 300 NE 50th St. OKC, OK 73105
