Carol Rae Marshall was born January 30, 1937 to Robert William Marshall and Sybil Walkling Marshall. She had two brothers, Gerald “Jerry“ Marshall and Donald W. Marshall. Carol grew up in Oklahoma City and loved the state of Oklahoma. She went to college at the University of Oklahoma, where she pledged Pi Beta Phi with several of her close friends. There she met the love of her life, James L. Hall, Jr. They were married on May 16, 1959 and had two children, Robert Grayson Hall and Ashley Gail Hall.
Carol spent most of her adult life as a homemaker. She also enjoyed playing tennis, bridge, shopping, and being a member of various clubs. She was one of the many women in Oklahoma City who founded Classic Gourmet, a beloved gourmet kitchen store.
Carol died on April 7, 2023. She was 86. Loved by many, Carol will always be remembered as a woman with a penchant for beautiful things. Carol is survived by her younger brother, “Don” Marshall, her two children, her five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Services will be held at All Souls Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 10, at 2 PM with the reception to follow at the church.
