Carol Ann Downs, 67 year-old resident of Choctaw, OK, passed away Jan. 31, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. Born Jan. 19, 1950 in OKC, OK, she was the daughter of Johnnie Cox and Betty (Brown) Cox. Carol was a secretary and a former beautician. She loved doing things for everybody. She enjoyed sewing; swap meets and visiting with everyone at them; spending time with her grandchildren; and cooking, especially sweets. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, John Cox. Survivors include her husband William Downs of the home; 2 sons, William “Willie” and his wife Shelly Downs of Ft. Gibson, OK; and Buddy Downs of Nicoma Park, OK; 2 grandsons, Jeffrey and Chase Downs; and 1 brother, Robert and his wife Kathy Cox of Yukon, OK. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., OKC, OK 73141 with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
