Carl grew up on the family farm with his parents, Robert and Mildred Robinson, older sister, Wynema, and twin sister, Carlene. Carl graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, OK, and majored in Accounting. He spent the majority of his career in the oil and gas industry in Oklahoma City, where he worked at Youngblood Oil Company for over 55 years. His positions included Accountant and Vice-President, and he worked on the 18th floor of the historic First National Bank Building in downtown Oklahoma City.
He married Melba Jo Furr of Seiling, OK, on July 24, 1952 and they were married nearly 71 years. They were active members of Church of the Servant for more than five decades.
Carl enjoyed boating, fishing, and maintaining his lake home at Lake Eufaula. He set a goal and waterskied with each grandchild! He enjoyed attending OU football games, grandchildren’s sporting events, playing Bridge, Pitch, cards, dominoes, Sequence and bowling. Carl loved traveling the world with Jo, family and friends. They took trips to Canada, Alaska and Europe, and even surprised the whole family with a cruise to the Caribbean Islands… TWICE!
Carl was pre-deceased by his parents, Robert and Mildred Robinson, his sisters Wynema Crow, Carlene Bates and grandson Brett Ferguson.
