Brooklyn Kate Murphy was born in Edmond, Oklahoma, on October 28, 1999. Brooklyn was the youngest of seven children. She received her formal education from the Putnam City School System attending Northridge Elementary, Cooper Middle School, and Putnam City Original.
Brooklyn participated in orchestra, cheer, and track. She also attended many Cub Scout events with her brothers and dad.
Brooklyn attended two churches in her lifetime: Heritage Baptist and Victory Church.
Brooklyn worked at many food establishments as a server: City Bites, Chili’s, and Pearl’s Oyster Bar… and, of course, helping feed her nieces and nephews.
At one time, Brooklyn expressed a desire to be an ER doctor and even a surgeon of some kind. Most recently, Brooklyn was making plans to enroll this fall in the Speech and Language Pathology program at USAO in Chickasha. She was functioning with her own limited hearing and wanted to help others with similar difficulties.
Brooklyn is survived by her parents, Cathy and Terry, along with her siblings Tara and her husband, Brian Alexander and their children, Kelsie, Preston, Sutton, and Hollis; Anna and her husband, Lesley Knight II and their children Jeremiah, Malachi, and Ezra; Benjamin Murphy; Rebekah and her husband, Chris Kiefer and their children Nathaniel, Helen, and Anita; Daniel Murphy and his wife, Jenna; and Ryan Murphy…. along with her grandmother, Ann Wudi. Brooklyn was preceded in death by her grandparents Gene Wudi and Jim & Ivon Murphy.
