Brittany was born on March 10, 1999 in OKC to Thomas Emmett Bell Jr and Christy Dawn (Sloan) Bell. The family relocated to Edmond when Brittany was 5. She attended Edmond Public Schools and was a member of the graduating class of Edmond North High School 2017. Brittany worked as a hostess and server at Louie’s and Sushi Bar and she made many wonderful friends there. She had recently recommitted her life to Christ and was baptized alongside her mother at North.Church in OKC.
Brittany was a generous girl with a big heart. She had a smile that could light up the darkest day and she loved to make her friends and family laugh. She was a talented artist and was recognized with an award from Highlights Magazine when she was young. Although she shared many traits with her mom, like her dry sense of humor, she was truly a daddy’s girl. They went camping and fishing together at Red Rock and Roman Nose State Parks. They also shared a passion for music that led them to play together in a garage band. Brittany was heartbroken when she lost her father in 2017. She also loved her amazing grandma and they had many special times together. Britt was intelligent and strong willed. She often used the traits to talk her mom into picking up stray dogs on the side of the street and she even talked her mother into getting her a mini-horse.
Brittany Bell packed more wonderful memories and experiences into her short 21 years than most people could pack into 100 years. She was a loving daughter, a caring granddaughter, and a trusted friend. Brittany certainly left an unmistakable mark on the lives of those around her and she will truly be missed by everyone whose life she touched.
She is preceded in death by her dad Thomas Emmett Bell Jr.; grandfather Raymond Carson Sloan; grandmother Lula Mae Sellers. She is survived by her mother Christy Bell; grandmother Jane Sloan and partner Ralph Lawson; three uncles: Bobby Sloan and wife Ann, Brian Sloan and fiance Donna Woodward, and James Sellers; aunt Debi Rosecrans and husband Rick; five cousins: Sarah Hoffman, Drew and Nathan Rosecrans, Sky Sellers, Serenity Sellers, and numerous other friends and family members.
