Brendan attended Subiaco Academy in Subiaco, Arkansas and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church for several years.
Brendan enjoyed listening to music, especially during a long road trip. His playlist included the Dave Matthews Band, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Earl King, Ray LaMontagne, and so many other genres. Brendan was an avid reader his whole life, which lead into a recent fondness of audio books. Brendan was a loyal St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and never missed the opportunity to watch a game. Brendan also enjoyed watching PGA golf, as well as playing when he had the opportunity. Brendan’s love for history and the arts was well known amongst his family and friends. He loved to find a local flea market or antique store to peruse and ponder the history of the unique items within the shops. A self-proclaimed ‘foodie’, Brendan loved to try new cuisine, always on the lookout for a new or trendy restaurant.
In 2006, Brendan met the love of his life, Charisse and they married in 2009. In 2013, they welcomed a daughter, Penelope and in 2019 a son, Henry. Brendan’s love and admiration for his family was demonstrated daily. He and Charisse would get pedicures together and watch Cardinal baseball games together, he would ride scooters around the block with Penelope, hit golf balls in the yard with Henry and take the dogs on walks around the block. Brendan taught his family how to work hard, be assertive with life goals, and love unconditionally. He will be remembered as an unbelievably loving husband and compassionate father.
Brendan’s family described him as intelligent, thoughtful, charming, respectful and loyal. Brendan would make sure that everyone was taken care of in any situation, whether it was offering a drink, something to eat, or a blanket because it was cold. He is also remembered for his smile, which was contagious.
As a lifelong learner, Brendan obtained the Nursing Home Administrator license in 2014 and worked with the elderly population for many years thereafter. Brendan was an entrepreneur at heart and had the opportunity to become a co-owner of Paramount Micro Markets, a distribution service in Oklahoma in 2017. Brendan was very proud of these achievements and the career path he had created for himself and his family.
